Four GVA directors quit

GVA has seen four directors resign.

Ben Hall, regional senior director and head of its Leeds office is leaving to join Colliers International.

He will head up the company’s capital market division in Yorkshire and Humberside and is part of Colliers’ initiative to grow its investment presence in the north, taking advantage of strong capital flows into regional cities with some overseas capital migrating out from London in a bid to find better value.

Hall had been at GVA for almost seven years, having joined from King Sturge, ahead of its merger with JLL.

Richard Kidd, senior director of office agency, has also resigned. Kidd led the office agency team in Bristol and had been at the firm for just under six years having joined from BNP Paribas Real Estate in 2012.

London-based David Creamore is also departing to join Lambert Smith Hampton where he is expected to become a director for the hotels team. He joined GVA in 2015 having previously spent 15 years at sector specialist Christie & Co.

Christopher Strong, a director in the West End investment team, is also leaving the company after more than a decade and is thought to be considering a move to client.

The departures follow that of Neil Dovey, the firm’s head of transactions and capital markets, last week, who is leaving GVA after more than 25 years to join Legal & General Investment Management Real Assets where he will be head of annuity transactions.

GVA’s owner EQT is currently in the midst of a potential sale of the business with Avison Young and Cushman & Wakefield both having held discussions over a prospective purchase.
