Derwent London has announced four prelets totalling 84,000 sq ft at the White Chapel Building, E1.
Legal firm Reddie & Grose, architect Perkins+Will, and specialist boat insurer the Shipowners’ Club are three of the four occupiers. They all signed leases after the EU referendum result.
The rent is £4m pa and all four occupiers have signed 10-year leases, with some subject to a five-year break clause and half subject to minimum rental uplifts on first review.
Derwent bought the eight-storey building from RBS with vacant possession for £132m in 2015. Refurbishment of phase one is scheduled for completion by the end of 2016.
Phase two of the scheme will see 85,000 sq ft of offices developed on the lower ground floors. Work is scheduled to start in 2017.
