Fowling pieces get a workout at Cadenza shoot

Sharpshooters from the property industry tested their visual agility recently at the Royal Berkshire Shooting Club.

Cadenza Group sponsored a charity shooting day at the well-known club to benefit the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

The event, which raised a total of £60,000 on the day, pitted several teams of shooters to contest the top prize. After some spirited competition, the trophy was won by a team headed by Cadenza chairman Tony Pidgley.

The day also included an auction, a raffle and an appearance by the Army Air Corps Blue Eagles helicopter display team.

Tim Whitmey of Savills donated a huge cuddly teddy bear to the raffle, which a guest nobly won and then put back into the raffle, raising a further £550 for the cause.

“It was very well-attended and we are delighted that so many people came and gave so generously to the Great Ormond Street Hospital, while enjoying an exciting day out,” said Sean Burroughs, managing director of Cadenza.
