Fox International Channels has launched a 100,000 sq ft requirement for new offices in west London.
The broadcaster has appointed Cushman & Wakefield to find space in or close to Hammersmith, W6.
It is currently based in Development Securities’ 10 Hammersmith Grove, W6, and is understood to have entered discussions with the developer about the possibility of expanding into 12 Hammersmith Grove, the 167,000 sq ft second phase of the office development that completes early next year.
No terms have yet been agreed and other tenants are also looking at the space.
FIC currently occupies 22,600 sq ft at the first phase of the development, space it leased in September 2014.
The multimedia business has been expanding its European brand, particularly in sports coverage, since launching Fox Sports One in 2013.
A number of new programmes are due to launch on Fox’s platforms in 2015, including coverage of Major League Soccer.
FIC is 21st century Fox’s international development, production and distribution business, covering 300 channels globally.
It has offices in most European countries, and around the world.
The Hammersmith sub-market currently has an acute shortage of grade-A office stock, with 10-12 Hammersmith the largest development coming forward before 2018. According to Colliers International, Hammersmith has been at a record low vacancy rate since the turn of the year, at 2.6%.
Strutt & Parker and JLL are letting agents on 12 Hammersmith Grove.
