Foxtons flumoxed by FTSE fall

Foxtons-sign-THUMB.jpegAn October profit warning and this week’s announcement of a 12% stamp duty on £1.5m-plus homes saw high street estate agent Foxtons slide out of the FTSE 250, just a year after soaring into it.

But while Foxtons’ fortunes were hit, developer CLS Holdings was promoted into the FTSE 250.

It was good news too for middle-market house builders Barratt Developments and Taylor Wimpey, which were both promoted to the FTSE 100. The moves will be made effective after financial markets close on 19 December and from the start of trading on Monday 22 December.
