FPDSavills has announced that it will drop the FPD prefix and bring all of its subsidiaries under the umbrella of Savills, the name by which it is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
The change will take effect from 1 January 2005.
Savills added the FPD element to its name when it merged with Hong Kong-based First Pacific Davies in 1997.
The company said in a statement that it now wanted to simplify and streamline the Savills identity, giving all its global businesses a brand name consistent with that of the parent company.
Aubrey Adams, group chief executive of Savills, says: “This move brings all our businesses into line with the holding company and reinforces the dominance of the Savills brand name.
“We will continue to roll out the Savills name across the globe, strengthening and developing our network throughout Europe, the Americas, the Far East and Australia.”
