France Telecom sells more property assets

France Telecom has announced a deal to sell property assets worth ¬510m. It is the second round of a programme of property sales announced in January 2001 aimed at reducing the group’s debts.

The deal was reached with the Morgan Stanley International Real Estate fund and Fonciere des Regions. France Telecom’s debts presently amount to ¬16bn and are heavily dragging down the share value of the group.
