A Roxhill and Hampton Brook joint venture has sold a site to French bakery giant Brioche Pasquier to develop its first UK manufacturing facility.
Phase one of the £70m project will see a 160,000 sq ft facility built on the site of the former Alps Electronics building at Wymbush in Milton Keynes, with a further phase of 70,000 sq ft to follow within five years.
Construction is due to start ?in March, with completion scheduled for the end of the ?year. Fit-out will then begin ?and the production lines will be fully operational by December 2015.
Hampton Brook development director Ian Jackson said: “Milton Keynes is highly regarded as a good place to do business.
“It is genuinely a unique city, designed and built for business growth.”
The family-owned Brioche business makes pastries sold in supermarkets across the UK, Spain and France.
