Its latest results may still have been in the red rather than the always fashionable black, but French Connection was hailing something of a turnaround yesterday.
The struggling high street clothes seller, once best known for its FCUK logo, said that it had made an operating loss before tax of £5.7m in the six months to July 31, an improvement on the £7.9m it lost in the same period last year.
It said that it had sold more clothes at full price in its retail division, that wholesale revenue was up and that its licensing division had returned to growth, with income up 8.3% in the period.
