French Connection reports narrower loss

French Connection reported a narrowing of its losses in the year ended 31 January, to £0.8m from £4.4m a year earlier. Revenue fell 5.8% to £178.5m.

The fashion retailer’s chief executive officer, Stephen Marks, described the spring season as starting slowly, and the company warned that trading remained challenging.
