Affordable housing provider FreshStart Living has appointed Oliver Lightowlers as its chief financial officer, ahead of the flotation of the business later this year.
Lightowlers joins FreshStart from infrastructure support services firm Spice, where he was group finance director. While at Spice, Lightowlers helped to float the business on the alternative investment market in 2004.
Greater Manchester-based FreshStart recently appointed former City broker Charlie Cunningham as its chief executive.
FreshStart, which has a portfolio with a gross development value of £60m in the North, Midlands and Scotland, aims to develop a pipeline of sites worth in excess of £100m.
Lightowlers said: “FreshStart has grown quickly since its formation in 2009 and significant future growth is anticipated. The affordable housing sector is very important and is growing significantly. I am hugely excited by the prospects for the business.”
