The Evening Standard newspaper has published the third instalment of its London Rich List 2004.
Wednesday’s tranche of names, covering places 26-40 on the 100-strong chart, includes several more names that are familiar from the property and construction industries:
- Mohamed Fayed, owner of Harrods and Fulham Football Club: £550m
- Benzion Freshwater, chairman and chief executive of Daejan Holdings: £530m
- David Sullivan, proprietor of the Sport newspaper and owner of a £100m property portfolio: £500m
- Sir Don Gosling, co-founder of National Car Parks: £444m
- Ronald Hobson co-founder of National Car Parks: £396m
- Mark Fenwick (and family) owner of the Fenwick department store chain: £400m
- Robert Tchenguiz and Vincent Tchenguiz, Rotch Group: £400m
- Chris Lazari, Lazari Investments: £398m
- Sir Cameron Mackintosh, theatre owner: £383m
- Sir Rocco Forte, hotel owner, £375m
- The Queen: £350m
