Friends Provident Property Services (FPPS) has applied for outline consent to develop a cinema complex at the Castle Mall retail centre in Norwich, Norfolk. A decision on whether the 3,252 sq m (35,000 sq ft) multiplex can go ahead is expected by the end of this month.
FPPS reports that negotiations with a cinema operator for the eight screen multiplex are underway. Up to three other operators are understood to be interested.
Major tenants at the 35,303 sq m (380,000 sq ft) Castle Mall – which is currently 70% let – include Boots, Virgin, Argos and Mothercare.
