Fringe specialist Hatton joins Colliers stable

Colliers-International-logo-new-2014-THUMB.jpegColliers International has bought niche City fringe specialist Hatton Real Estate as it looks to expand its London business.

Hatton, which employs a team of 11, was established in 2010 by former Richard Susskind agents Shaun Simons, 32, Ricky Blair, 31 and Michael Raibin, 34. It has since grown into one of the leading City fringe agents, riding the area’s tech and creative boom.

The company turned over more than £6m in 2015, advising on nearly 1m sq ft of leases and 100 capital transactions.

It will rebrand as Colliers International immediately but remain in a separate office on Old Street, EC1.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but Simons confirmed that all five equity partners, each of whom will become directors at Colliers, have signed “multi-year” lock-in agreements.

Hatton is the third UK niche agency acquisition by Colliers in the past two years, following the purchase of Briant Champion Long and H2SO in 2014. Colliers’ UK and Ireland chief executive Tony Horrell said more deals would follow, with the addition of a strong City core team a priority.
