Frogmore prelets Notting Hill hotel scheme

Frogmore has prelet a new 173-bedroom hotel development in Notting Hill to Ruby Group.

It will be the German chain’s third hotel in the UK, having opened its hotel Ruby Lucy on the South Bank late last year and its second, Ruby Stella in Clerkenwell, due to open in 2022.

The Notting Hill hotel is due to open in 2023 and will be called Ruby Zoe.

Ruby Group beat off competition from nine other hotel operators and 12 other bids for the hotel space within the West Block of the Notting Hill Estate.

Frogmore bought the four-building estate from Pears Group and LaSalle Investment Management for £219.3m in 2015.

Spread over 3.11 acres the estate comprised 92-144 Notting Hill Gate, West Block, David Game House and Astley House, W11.

Frogmore chief executive Jo Allen said: “We really love Ruby’s approach and vision for the project, which we believe will complement the area.”

Gerard Nolan and Partners advised Frogmore on the deal.
