Funds placed in property unit trusts increased have reached record levels according to figures released by the Association of Property Unit Trusts.
During the last quarter of 1997, funds under APUT management reached £4.5bn – up £1bn on the previous quarter. APUT says that the introduction of four new funds explained the rise.
The 23-member association raised a total of £684m during 1997 – a 136% increase on 1996’s total.
