Developer Fusion Students has appointed Gina McMorran as its operations director, in a newly created role.
McMorran previously ran her own brand consultancy, MyCultura, where her clients included Fusion as well as Essential Living, Curlew Capital and Capital Industrial.
In her new job, McMorran will join the senior management team with overall responsibility for sales, marketing and operational matters.
Before she founded her consultancy in 2016, she worked at Essential Living as its head of brand and marketing for two years.
She also previously held managerial roles at The Student Housing Company, Pure Student Living and The Nido Collection.
Nigel Henry, co-founder and director of Fusion Students, said: “[McMorran’s] expertise and experience will strengthen the Fusion Students team and play a vital role in driving forward our domestic and international expansion plans.”
The company aims to expand in both purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and co-living residential rented housing sectors across the UK and overseas.
Fusion Students recently sold The Stellar Portfolio, four operational student accommodation assets in Newcastle, Nottingham, Cardiff and Bristol, to Arlington Advisors for more than the £232m asking price.
