Future of work start-up raises $2m

A start-up platform that seeks to bring employees together through providing access to a network of workspaces has raised $2m (£1.6m) of funding.

Pluria has gained investment from a host of international investors led by Eleven Ventures, one of south-east Europe’s most prominent early-stage venture capital firms, US-based Phoenix Venture Fund, Romanian investor WIT Angels Club and international business angel syndicate Croton Capital.

Pluria aims to “address problems of engagement and productivity in distributed teams” by offering them access to a curated network of workspaces such as co-working hubs, hotel lounges and cafés, where employees can come together and collaborate in a better work environment.

It currently has more than 500 workspaces on its platform across 10 countries in Latin America and Europe.

Andrei Cretu, chief executive and co-founder of Pluria, said the firm would use the new funds to “assist more businesses in addressing the crucial hybrid work dilemma – keeping remote teams connected and engaged while maintaining their flexibility”.
