A joint venture between Galliard and Lindhill has gained planning consent for 785 homes and 32,000 sq ft of office space in Bromley-by-Bow, E14.
The 2.4ha site is currently occupied by a number of small businesses including salvage yards.
The Stockwool-designed scheme will comprise 13 blocks of between three and 17 storeys on the bank of the River Lea, fronting on to the Blackwall Tunnel approach.
Some 35% of the homes will be affordable.
