Glasgow’s 2014 Commonwealth Games legacy consortium is to double the number of homes being built at the Athletes Village in the city’s East End.
The consortium, which comprises Glasgow city council, Cruden Homes and Mactaggart & Mickel Homes, will build a second phase of 700 homes after this summer’s Games, taking the total at the 95-acre site to 1,400. When the first homes were brought to market earlier this month, 80% were sold within hours.
