Gazeley has appointed Siemens’ head of business development Jonathan Priestly as business development director as part of a shake-up of its senior management team.
The Wal-Mart owned industrial developer said Priestly would take responsibility for developing customer relationships, marketing, key account management and developing business in Gazeley’s new markets.
Priestly said: “I am delighted to be working for such a forward thinking company and my responsibility will be to ensure Gazeley continues to be customer-centric by understanding their financial, operational and environment issues and making sure we can help our customers meet those challenges.”
In other changes, Richard FitzPatrick, who was in charge of distribution development for supermarket group ASDA, has been appointed commercial director with responsibilities across the whole portfolio of Gazeley’s UK projects.
Having previously worked at Chesterton, FitzPatrick joined Gazeley in 2002 and has had roles within the Gazeley French and German development teams before taking over responsibility for Asda in 2005.
Development director Nick Cooper has returned to the UK from Gazeley’s Frankfurt office to replace FitzPatrick and provide support to ASDA in the expansion of its logistics network.
Gazeley chief executive Pat McGillycuddy said: “These appointments reflect our desire to ensure we continue to put our customers first and drive sustainability across the whole of our business and through all our customer relationships.”
