GB Europe presses ahead with 950,000 sq ft industrial plans

GB Europe has submitted an environmental impact assessment application to transform a former printworks in Speke, Liverpool, into a circa 950,000 sq ft distribution centre.

The application comes three months after GB Europe bought the freehold of Prinovis’ 627,217 sq ft former printing facility, which occupies a site of around 50 acres on Estuary Business Park, for around £22m. CBRE advised on the deal.

Plans for the facility, which ceased operations last year, include the new distribution unit, around 30,000 sq ft of offices, plus parking for almost 1,000 cars and HGVs.

The site sits next to Speke’s global occupier base, which includes Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, Seqirus and B&M, and has further expansion land of nearly 27 acres.
