General Projects has added four hires to its team and promoted others as it seeks to grow the business and expand into new sectors.
The group has hired Rob Selwyn from Derwent London as an asset manager, Sam Stark from Mileway and Diogo Vicente Oliveira from Revantage as portfolio analysts and Joe Peake from Savills as a development manager.
The firm has also promoted three senior members of team. Frederic Schwass (pictured, far right) becomes chief development officer and will be tasked with growing the firm’s development capabilities with a focus on diversifying into the hotel and housing sectors.
Adam Brady (pictured, far left) becomes head of investment and will drive the growth of General Projects’ investment strategies, leading and finding new opportunities, while Raquel Guirado Sanchez (pictured, centre) becomes creative director, with a remit of the company’s wider brand strategy and proposition for end users.
General Projects founder and chief executive Jacob Loftus said: “We have spent the last four years developing a creative and dynamic business, which has gone from strength to strength. This combination of new hires, plus well-deserved recognition for Fred, Adam and Raquel, allows us to keep growing and evolving as a business as we continue our push for greater purpose in real estate development.
“The General Projects mission will always be about continuing to champion the creative reuse of underused assets, but we are excited to move into the next phase of the brand by building out our sector expertise from workplaces to hospitality and residential projects. It’s an exciting time for us.”
The hires comes as the business expands its portfolio to £2.5bn of development projects, a 40% increase over the past 18 months.
