Developer Genr8 has won outline planning consent for an initial 540,000 sq ft phase of its 1m sq ft Central Business District scheme in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
The major new business district will be built in phases over the next 10-15 years.
Genr8 is now working up a detailed planning submission for the first 107,639 sq ft phase. Subject to consent later this year, a start on site in early 2012 is hoped for.
The site is situated close to a proposed new regional shopping centre being developed by Realis Estates and Stoke City Council at the former East West site.
The news follows on from Realis and the council winning planning consent for a new bus station at the East West site yesterday. The bus station will form the first phase of the £350m regeneration project.
