Gerald Ronson is to embark on a £30m speculative office development in London’s West End.
Ronson has teamed up with Scottish Amicable to redevelop New South Wales House in the Strand, London W1.
The building was acquired by Scottish Amicable from the Australian government for £7m. It has consent for 3,252 sq m (35,000 sq ft) of offices and 6.096 sq m (20,000 sq ft) of retail.
Demolition of the building, dubbed one of the ugliest in London, started last week.
