German banks fuel HB Reavis’s UK debut

Slovak developer HB Reavis has obtained £90m of development finance for its first project in the UK at 33 King William Street, EC4.

The 225,000 sq ft speculative development, renamed 33 Central, has been granted the facility in equal parts by German lenders Deutsche Pfandbriefe Bank and Deutsche Hypo.

The loan term is expected to extend to the end of the development phase, which is due to complete in the second half of 2016.

HB Reavis has a long relationship with the two lenders based on projectsin its heartland of central and eastern Europe.
