Germans sign agreement

DeTe Immobilien and IVG Holding want to develop, build, and operate technology parks and have signed a letter of agreement. DeTe Immobilien will take care of the technical facility management while the joint venture will use IVG’s property experience.

The first German project will be in Frankfurt with further parks planned for Bonn, Darmstadt, and Berlin. Users of the parks are start-up and fast growing companies in the technology sector.

They will be offered space and an internet-based communications network linked to other international technology parks. One of the features of the parks will be expansion space for users.

IVG operates five parks in Germany and DeTe Immobilien will take on the facility management of these parks. While the partnership will initially be focused on Germany over a period of three to five years, other countries within the eurozone could be considered.

The two companies are already working together at Infopark in Budapest. In co-operation with the Republic of Hungary, a total of 106,000m2 of office, service and laboratory space will have been developed by the year 2003.

One of the aims of the business park is to create synergies through the concentration of telecommunication, IT, and media companies.
