Get Living Group has appointed United House Developments’ Rick de Blaby as executive vice chairman.
De Blaby will focus on expanding the group’s platform and will take responsibility for seeking out new PRS opportunities, initially in London but also throughout the country. It will look for schemes with at least 500 units but prefer substantially larger projects.
The PRS operator is owned by clients of Delancey, Qatari Diar and APG. It also manages the partners’ assets in the sector.
Get Living has 2,000 homes at East Village, the former Olympic Village in Stratford, E20, and the largest operating PRS scheme in the UK. It is also set to launch a second location in Elephant & Castle.
De Blaby, who will work alongside chief executive Neil Young and non-executive chairman Stuart Corbyn, was chief executive at Hermes-backed MEPC for nine years until 2014 when he joined London residential developer United House to direct its restructure. United House is now headed by chief executive Ian Burnett.
Corbyn said: “[De Blaby’s] expertise, at the real estate and corporate level, complements the skills of our management team. We have been pioneers in large-scale residential investment and will continue to be at the forefront of this sector.”
