Get Living Group has received planning approval for a residential-led mixed-use scheme in Glasgow.
The development, at the former College Street Goods Yard, includes 823 build-to-rent homes, 687 PBSA rooms and 4,400 sq ft of retail and leisure facilities.
Get Living’s proposal includes developing 12 buildings ranging from six to 21 storeys.
The new application is Get Living’s second approval on the Glasgow site – the developer initially received approval for a £200m redevelopment at the derelict site in 2018.
The prior planning application comprised 727 BTR homes, 99 PBSA rooms, 36,221 sq ft of commercial space, a new public space, and tree-lined access routes (pictured).
In the planning statement for the new development, Get Living said it did not implement the consent received in 2018 as “there was a strong case of revisiting the scheme and diversifying the offer, building on learning from the pandemic to create a more community-focused mixed-use development that will be sustainable and resilient for residents and the local community and economy.”
