Get Living has submitted planning applications for the remaining plots of its East Village masterplan in Stratford, E20.
The developer started work on plans for a 504-bed PBSA scheme on plot N16 earlier this year.
The proposals now submitted to the London Legacy Development Corporation include the development of two student housing towers of 10 and 15 storeys. The site had prior planning consent for 188 beds in a 16-storey tower.
Get Living has also submitted reserved matters plans for the N18/19 plot, which it said will be the “key gateway into East Village”.
The developer has put forward plans for 848 build-to-rent homes, commercial and retail space across 34 and 39-storey towers. The plot has existing approval for a scheme of 710 flats and retail space at the base.
In the planning documents submitted to the LLDC, Get Living said: “Get Living recognises the merits of this scheme, but also acknowledges that a more efficient and sustainable solution will better secure the longevity of the development as a more socially responsible strategy.”
It said its new plans for “East Village’s greatest asset” were inspired by the concept of “greeted by green”.
Get Living’s revised plans “draw the green lush environment of Victory Park toward the station, reflecting the prioritisation of the natural environment, a healthy lifestyle and environmental responsibility”, the company said.
The development of Get Living’s plot N05, an affordable housing development providing 48 homes at social rent will be handed over to Notting Hill Genesis this week.
