Get tweeting for a good cause

Estates Gazette is putting its Twitter account in readers’ hands this Thursday as it hosts its first Tweetathon in aid of Land Aid Day.

The property industry is invited to send messages of 140 characters or less to be broadcast directly from the Estates Gazette Twitter account to its 23,000 followers, in exchange for a donation.

All contributions are in aid of Land Aid Day, one of the property industry’s biggest annual fundraisers.

This year’s theme is Mission Possible and, as well as the Tweetathon, Estates Gazette is rising to the challenge with a collection bucket at its Manchester Question Time debate.

But for now, get your tweet on for a minimum donation of £5.

Write your message on our Tweetathon Just Giving page along with your donation, otherwise simply donate here and e-mail your message to tweets@estatesgazette.com.

Send any message you like: a happy birthday message, a business plug, or a witty one-liner. They must all include the hashtag #LAD2013.

Retweets will also be available for a donation and messages will be edited where appropriate.

Don’t forget to keep an eye out on our twitter page @estatesgazette on Thursday, 10 October, for your message.

LandAid is hoping to beat last year’s fundraising total of £83,000 to help disadvantaged young people in the UK.
