GFM names new US bosses

Grosvenor Fund Management has appointed Andrew Galbraith and Alexia Gottschalch as joint chief executives in the US.

In his new role, effective on 21 November 2011, Galbraith will be responsible for the joint management of GFM’s US business and also will act as head of investments.

Galbraith has been with Grosvenor for over 20 years. Initially hired in the UK, Galbraith has also worked in the Washington, DC and San Francisco offices on behalf of the group’s proprietary business in the US.

Galbraith moved to GFM this autumn, with responsibility for the coordination of all of its acquisition activities in the US.

In her new role, also commencing on 21 November, Gottschalch will be responsible for the joint management of GFM’s US business and also will act as head of capital markets and client service.

Gottschalch has been employed with GFM since April 2011 and has 17 years of experience in property acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, real estate debt investing and structuring and in the equity capital markets.

Prior to joining GFM, Gottschalch was a managing director of marketing and investor relations at Cheswold/Independence Capital Partners in Philadelphia.

Gottschalch has also served as the director of marketing and investor relations, Europe for Prudential Financial – known as Pramerica in Europe.

The changes come as Doug Callantine, currently director, US is stepping down from his current role at GFM and is leaving the company.

“We are pleased to welcome Andrew and Alexia into their new roles with Grosvenor Fund Management,” Said Jeffrey Weingarten, chief executive of GFM globally.

“Their executive experience complements that of the rest of our team in Philadelphia and will sit well alongside our leadership team in other regions where, too, we have been strengthening our resource to match our ambitions.

I look forward to working with them on creating value for our clients in the US as we continue to further GFM’s growth and success around the world.”
