We do love a story about sisters doing it for themselves, and this one’s pretty good.
Savills’ Phillippa Dalby-Welsh, associate director, country houses, and Victoria Inskip, associate director, London development, banded together with eight other ladies to tackle 10 peaks that rise from the unforgiving terrain of The Lake District – in 10 solid hours.
The one-day event is among the most difficult in the UK. During the challenge, the hikers conquered Helvellyn, the third-highest peak in the country, battling hail storms in their efforts to succeed.
Inskip said: “We had to run the 10 last minutes to do it under 10 hours. It was exhausting but worth it.”
The team raised a staggering £19,500, which will be split across four charities: A21, The NCN Orphanage, Hop Skip & Jump and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
