Technology gizmos retailer Gizmondo Europe Ltd (Gizmondo) has confirmed 21 new flagship store openings in key cities from New York to Beijing.
Gizmondo, a subsidiary of Florida-based Tiger Telematics said it would open 21 more stores in major cities around the world because of the success of its opening and retail launch at 175 Regent Street, W1, earlier this year.
The stores will open in Liverpool and Birmingham in the UK and in Paris, Monte Carlo, Milan, Hamburg, Barcelona, Stockholm and Luxemburg in continental Europe.
The firm will also open shops in New York, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami.
Further stores will be opened in Beijing and Shanghai in China, and Moscow, Dubai, Capetown and Rio de Janeiro.
Carl Freer, co-founder and chairman of Tiger Telematics, said: “The performance of the London store has far exceeded our expectations so much so that it’s no wonder other gaming platforms have followed our lead.
“The new Gizmondo stores will be opening over the next 12 months, starting with New York’s Times Square, which is one of the most highly-prized retail locations in the world.”
Following an identical design concept to the first store in London, the stylized, high-tech Gizmondo experience will have dedicated areas to each of the Gizmondo’s six core functions of gaming, movies, music, camera applications, messaging, and GPS technology.
