Glasgow’s West George Street has seen a flurry of activity recently with a development proposal, an investment sale and a letting.
GRE Properties and Vico Property Group have submitted a planning application to develop 35,000 sq ft of offices at 163 West George Street, behind a listed facade. On completion, the £11m scheme is likely to attract rents of over £17 per sq ft. Richard Ellis and Webster & Co are agents.
Meanwhile, Sheraton Caltrust have sold 210 West George Street to Grosvenor Square Properties for £650,000. The price for the refurbished 2,500-sq ft office building reflects a yield of 5.5%.
Edward Erdman and Montagu Evans represented the vendors.
Sheraton Caltrust, with Commercial Union Properties, have let their 14,900-sq ft office redevelopment at 160 West George Street at £165,000 pa to Willis Faber.
Webster & Co acted for Sheraton, while Spiers Parnie & Adam advised the tenants.
