Larroque joins CBRE in France
CBRE Global Investors has appointed Thierry Larroque as chief financial officer and chief operating officer for its French office. He will be responsible for French office finance and operations and joins the business from Hines, where he was chief financial officer. He will report to Andre de Konning and Sigrid Duhamel.
Gates seeks record hotel deal
Bill Gates is looking to sell a Toronto hotel he owns with Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud. Gates’ Cascade Investment hopes to receive about C$250m (£135m) for the Four Seasons Toronto. At this level it would make it the biggest sale on a per-room basis so far in Canada (C$1m), beating the previous record of C$567,000 for the Westin Barbour Hotel, also in Toronto.
GEG buys Frankfurt campus
German Estate Group (GEG) has acquired Frankfurt’s International Business Campus in what is Germany’s largest single commercial real estate deal of 2016. The company has paid €400m (£311m) for the 903,800 sq ft three-building campus in the city’s CBD. GEG is a vehicle for US private equity firm KKR and fund manager Deutsche Immobilien Chancen Group.
Dolce Chantilly hotel for sale
Conferinvest has put the Dolce Chantilly hotel in Chantilly, France, up for sale for about €35m (£27m). Best known for its 18-hole golf course and 21,530 sq ft of conference facilities, the four-star property has 200 bedrooms and event space for up to 300 delegates. It is held on a long leasehold.
WeWork sets up in France
WeWork is to set up its first operation in France. The serviced office firm has signed a 12-year lease for 118,400 sq ft of office space at Deka’s 33 Rue La Fayette in Paris. It is due to open next year. BNP Paribas Real Estate advised.
