New home sales fall
New home sales fell 1.6% in the U.S. in November, to an annualized rate of 438,000, figures from the Commerce Department showed.
November’s reading is the lowest in four months. October’s reading was revised lower, to 445,000.
The median price for a new home rose 1.4% on the year, to $280,900.

U.S. GDP revised higher
U.S. gross domestic product rose an annualized 5% in the third quarter, the highest rate since 2003 and a sharp upward revision from the previous estimate of 3.9%.
The upward revision will add to pressure on the U.S. Federal Reserve to raise rates.
