Goldfinger’s Elephant & Castle building to be converted into flats

Alexander Fleming House, the former DHSS headquarters in Elephant & Castle, south London, is to be turned into 422 flats. The controversial property was designed by modernist architect Erno Goldfinger. Conservationists declare themselves happy with the deal between the building’s owners the Imry Group, and developer Berkeley Homes.
