Goldwing and Leicester City fail to reach agreement over new stadium

Goldwing Properties and Leicester City have failed to reach agreement on building a new stadium for the Premier League football club.

The new stadium has now been delayed but the football club said it was still determined to find a stadium to match its ambitions.

It had intended to move from Filbert Street to a new ground at Bede Island South. However the land is subject to a public inquiry and Leicester City was worried that it might not be able to secure it for the development.
