Arts and crafts retailer Hobbycraft is taking a 213,000 sq ft Goodman shed in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire for a new national distribution centre.
Hobbycraft is understood to have signed a 15-year lease at around £4.75 per sq ft at the First Point shed at the Burton Logistics Centre.
Goodman commercial director Jason Harris said: “This letting is one of the largest in the market this year and reinforces the continued interest from customers, in particular UK retailers, in prime industrial and logistics property.
“This is highlighted by the fact that our portfolio is now almost fully let, with only one vacant facility within the portfolio.”
Hobbycraft property director James Yates added: “We are pleased to secure this new national distribution facility which will support our ambitious growth plans over the coming years.”
BNP Paribas Real Estate, Jones Lang LaSalle and Savills acted for Goodman; Hobbycraft was represented by CBRE.
