Gordon Ingram steps down from GIA

Gordon Ingram, the founder and chairman of rights of light specialist GIA, is stepping down from the business after 30 years.

Ingram has been a driving force behind GIA’s growth and success since its inception three decades ago.

His leadership has helped navigate the company through various milestones, including a restructure and private equity investment in October 2023.

The new leadership structure, led by chief executive Sam Wallis, along with the investment from Lonsdale Capital Partners, has paved the way for GIA to accelerate its growth across its offices in Belfast, Bristol, Dublin, London and Manchester.

An ongoing expansion programme will focus on pushing existing services such as wind analysis, building consultancy and measured surveys, as well as increasing GIA’s investment in technology that will enable it to continue to be at the forefront of daylight, sunlight and rights of light.

Wallis said: “We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Gordon for his leadership, unwavering dedication, and significant contributions to GIA throughout the years. Our revamped leadership structure, featuring GIA directors who have been in the business for a long time, combined with our substantial investment and innovative strategy, positions our business to confidently embrace technological advancements and evolving capabilities. We are poised to harness the enhanced quality of information brought by digitisation, empowering us to assist our clients in navigating the forthcoming challenges in the property sector.”
