A clash is brewing between Michael Gove and Sadiq Khan over the Stratford Sphere.
The London mayor blocked plans for the LED-covered dome last week.
But that decision could be overturned by the levelling up secretary, after Gove directed local decision-makers not to deny planning permission at this stage.
Gove has told the London Legacy Development Corporation to allow ministers six weeks to decide whether to call in the £800m development.
