Government delays Salisbury bypass decision

The Government has delayed making a decision on whether to approve the £76m Sailsbury bypass.

The delay, which is expected to take at least four months, is to allow the Government to consider further objections to the scheme.

Protestors want to stop the 17. 7km (11 mile), four-lane road from being built across water meadows to the south of the city.
