Travelodge will lose its boss at the end of the year after the conclusion of its dispute with landlords over its recent CVA.
Peter Gowers, who took the helm of the budget hotel chain in 2013, will be replaced on an interim basis by Craig Bonnar, the chain’s chief operating officer, as it starts the search for a replacement.
The resignation of Gowers, who will remain as an adviser into the new year, came as Travelodge revealed that it had lost 17 hotels to rivals as a result of fallout from the CVA.
