David O’Sullivan, who left his role as GPE’s director of workplace services earlier this year, has taken a new role with the Crown Estate.
O’Sullivan is joining the estate as director of transformation property services, covering commercial and retail assets, a newly created role.
He joined GPE as head of occupier services in 2018, before which he spent 19 years at Tishman Speyer where he was managing director of property management for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
O’Sullivan’s departure was one of several announced last year as GPE restructured parts of its business around a focus on flexible offices.
In a post on LinkedIn when he left in February, he said the real estate industry faces “a series of complex yet necessary changes to the way we occupy and utilise the built environment, given our collective ambitions to be net zero carbon by 2030”, adding that “the dual commitments of customer centricity and environmental management are inextricably linked”.
