Grainger jets in Concord Pacific director to boost development

Grainger has appointed a new director of land and development to “further strengthen its development capability to support its growth plans”.

Mike Keaveney joins the residential landlord from the London division of Concord Pacific, Canada’s largest community builder.

He is expected to start his new position in April and will report into chief executive Helen Gordon, working closely alongside Grainger’s director of investment, Andrew Saunderson, and chief operating officer, John Kenny.

Keaveney has more than 29 years’ of property and development experience. Most recently, he led on the acquisition of the Moxon Street car park site, W1, from Westminster City Council with a gross development value of £300m and was instrumental in the joint venture with Brookfield to develop out the 50-storey residential tower and affordable housing blocks at Principal Place in London EC1.

His early career was at Osprey PMI, where he was an equity partner and board director responsible for the London office and its commercial development projects in the UK. He later moved to Ridgeford Developments and W1 Developments.

Chief executive Helen Gordon said: “Mike brings with him extensive experience of both acquiring and delivering great development opportunities, particularly in the residential sector. Mike will be a welcome addition to our team as we continue to grow Grainger’s PRS portfolio.”
