Grainger and Haringey council have won funding from London mayor Boris Johnson to support local market traders affected by the Seven Sisters Regeneration Project.
The mayor will contribute £284,500 to temporarily relocate the market during Grainger’s regeneration of the area.
Grainger development director David Walters said: “We are pushing forward to deliver the regeneration of Seven Sisters and this funding, alongside the guarantees and funding we have already put in place, will ensure the continued success of the market.”
Grainger’s £65m regeneration plan, granted planning permission in July, will include a new homes and improvements to the High Road, as well as a new market.
