Billionaire hotelier Michael Kadoorie has given £2.6m to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he was treated for a shattered pelvis.
Nearly half of the money will go towards a new building.
Kadoorie is chairman of Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels.
