Great Bear steps into Valad’s Oldham business park

  Australian property trust Valad Property Group has let a 185,000 sq ft industrial unit to Great Bear Distribution in Oldham, Greater Manchester.   In one of the largest industrial lettings in the North West this year, Great Bear has leased the Broadway 21 unit at Oldham Broadway Business Park for 10 years, at an initial rent of circa £740,000 pa, equating to around £4 per sq ft.     Great Bear will use the facility to operate a contract for personal care and household products group PZ Cussons.   The building was developed speculatively by Valad last year, along with an adjacent 42,000 sq ft warehouse unit, which remains available.   Andrew Slipper, joint head of development for Valad, said: “This letting involved working with Great Bear during their bid for the Cussons contract.
