Green 480 sq m south London building aims to educate

One of Britain’s most innovative and “environmentally friendly” buildings will shortly begin construction at Merton Abbey Mills, south London.

The 480 sq m (5,167 sq ft) Renue building is due to open next year with half its funding coming from a National Lottery grant.

Renue is the name of the charity responsible for the project. It stands for Renewable Energy in the Urban Environment. Its aim it to inspire and educate and help speed change towards a sustainable world.
